Is Online Giving Secure?

We use Planning Center Giving donation software for our online giving. This software provides robust security features including:

Payment Security
We follow PCI compliance standards and use the same level of protection as your bank. Planning Center is a PCI Level One compliant merchant.
Data Encryption
Aplos includes multi-level firewall protection and 256-bit SSL encryption.
Secure Donor Portal
You can log in to a secure area to view your donation history, see giving statements, and update your payment information.

What are the fees for online giving?

Credit Card Transactions: 2.15% + $0.30
ACH Bank Transfers: 0% + $0.25

How can I avoid paying fees and still have an automatically recurring gift?

Good question! If you want to avoid the fees altogether, the best way is to set up recurring bill pay through your bank. Most banks offer bill pay for free. Set up Urban Refuge as a payee with our mailing address and then complete your bill pay set up with your bank.
