Discovery Years & Promiseland Kids
Discovery Years - 3 & 4 Years
Children will discover God and His love for them as they join our journey through timeless Bible stories, fun crafts and the joy of music. Due to the structured nature of this class, children should be potty-trained, able to sit for 15 minutes and follow directions.
Discovery Years Check-in and Pick-up (3&4 years)
3 & 4 year olds are to be checked-in prior to service at Room 215, and will remain in that room until they are picked up after the service. Children will be given a color-coded name tag and a notification number specific to that child. The parent will receive a card with the same number to be used to retrieve their child after the service. This same number can be posted on the electronic number board posted in the Sanctuary and Fireside Room (video simulcast room).
Promiseland - K thru 6th Grade
Our Promiseland program is designed for kids from Kindergarten through 6th grade. We have three classes for them, K-1st, 2nd-3rd, and 4th-6th grades. All of our Promiseland kids are participating in our 252 Basics curriculum, allowing a consistent teaching and discussion for the kids that can be continued at home with handouts provided monthly.
Children’s Service Progression
After checking kids in prior to the service, they are to remain with their parents for the first two worship songs of the service. They are then released by the worship leader to their teachers in the Sanctuary, who will then escort them downstairs to their class.
All of the kids, K thru 6th grade, meet together in the Activity Room for the first portion of their class. They will participate in an interactive group teaching which may include dramas, PowerPoint, or video presentations. The kids are then escorted to their class-specific room for a smaller group discussion, along with creative arts and activities that make the time meaningful and enjoyable for your kids. Upon completion of the service, parents are to pick up their children at the appropriate classroom as listed below.
Children Check-in and Pick-up (K thru 6th Grade)
Upon arriving to church, please bring your children to the Kids Check-In table in east hallway, upstairs. Your child will be given a color-coded badge to signify which class they belong, along with a notification number specific to your child. The parent is given a matching number to present to the teacher at the end of class to retrieve their child. This same number can also be put up on the electronic number board located in the Sanctuary and Fireside Room (video simulcast room) to notify you if your child needs assistance during the service.
Children are to be picked up at the end of service at their home class room:
K thru 1st Grade: Room 115 (downstairs, south hallway)
2nd thru 3rd Grade: Room 114 (downstairs, south hallway)
4th thru 6th Grade: Activity Room (downstairs, north side)
Once a Month
About once a month we have the 2nd-6th grade kids join us for the entire service. This provides a great opportunity for families to build a habit of discussing what they learn together.
